A dog owner appeared in a Nyeri court Tuesday and denied failing to restrain his pet from causing harm to a neighbour’s livestock.

John Mwangi Wanarua denied recklessly and negligently failing to take precaution against probable danger from a dog in his possession causing them to cause likely harm to two goats owned by Jane Muthoni Nderi.

The prosecution claim the dog attacked and bite the two goats at Karia area in Nyeri County on June 28, 2012.

Nyeri chief magistrate Wilbroda Juma gave the accused a Sh10,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount pending the hearing of the case on August 29, 2012.
