“The mother was arrested and they started looking for the minor and the father. Later, with the help of the minor, assorted keys were found in the accused’s home. Some of the items had been destroyed by the mother,” said Mwangi.
The prosecutor said the remaining $600 was never recovered and the minor told the court that it was stolen while going home between Ring Road Estate and Majengo estate.
The magistrate remanded the accused until August 14 when she will be sentenced by a children’s court while the case against her parents will be heard on the same date.
