Drama unfolded at Mbero market in Kisumu after two women fought in public over their husband.
The second wife attacked her co-wife for âtaking husbandâs entire attention.â
She accused the husband of dumping her after luring her into marriage with promises that he would start her a business and that being the second wife, she will have all his love and attention.
âHe cheated me that he would start me a business and will always be with me, but he did not fulfill his promise. Iâm tired of spending cold nights alone,â she shouted.
She said the two years she has been in marriage have been hell, with the man turning his back on her and focused all his attention to the first wife.
âI donât know what he wants. Iâm ready to give him everything, but he is not seen in the house. This is a disappointing,â she shouted.
After marriage, the husband introduced her to the first wife and rented her a house in Nyalenda estate while the first wife was in Kondele, but the two wives had never visited each other.
The woman accused the man of not visiting her for a month and did not even send money to buy food for the children.
She started looking for the husband to find out where he had disappeared to.
After a weekâs search, she found out that the husband was always at the first wifeâs business place at Mbero market in town and she decided to take action to shame the two.
She approached the husband and the first wife and demanded from the co-wife why she had âgrabbedâ the husband from her.
