President Kibaki and Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka sent a message of condolence to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana following the death of President John Atta Mills.

President Kibaki termed the late president one of the greatest sons of Africa.

He said President Mills will particularly be remembered for entrenching democracy and political stability in Ghana.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Kenya, and on my own behalf, I express our deepest sorrow following the sad demise of President Atta Mills,” said President Kibaki.

And Kalonzo visited the Ghanaian High Commission in Nairobi where he signed the book of condolences.

“President Atta Mills was a great Pan Africanist. His death is a big blow to the continent. I wish to send my deepest condolences to the government and people of the great nation of Ghana during this difficult period,” said Kalonzo who was received by Ghana High Commissioner to Kenya Kingsley Saka Abdul Karimu.
