President Kibaki has ruled out endorsing anyone for the presidential seat ahead of the General Election.

Kibaki admitted that he was under immense pressure to endorse a candidate for the seat.

“As we prepare for the coming elections some people have been questioning me on my stand but I wonder of what help it will be to them,” he said.

The President advised those seeking the presidency that it’s only their hard work, which would help them attain the seat.

Kibaki was speaking during the ground breaking of the Olkaria 280MW power project in Naivasha.

In recent rallies, supporters of various candidates have asked Kibaki to endorse their presidential candidate.

On Monday, President Kibaki called for peace during the elections and challenged Kenyans to live in harmony.

The President hit out at those preaching hate saying Kenyans should live like brothers and sisters.
