Top judges failed the test as fresh results of the vetting board returned a verdict finding them unsuitable to hold office.
Justice Mohammed Ibrahim of the Supreme Court was found unsuitable to serve in the judiciary due to inordinate delay in delivering judgements.
Court of Appeal Judge Roselyn Nambuye was similarly cleared unfit to serve in the judiciary as the vetting board chaired by Sharad Rao said she delayed cases and in so doing delayed justice.
The fate of four appelate judges justices Riaga Omollo, Emmanuel O'kubasu, Samuel Bosire and Joseph Nyamu was sealed as the vetting board rejected appeals against their ejection from the bench.
Justice Bosire had even applied to have his review heard in public after being heard in camera during the vetting exercise.
Court of Appeal judges Hannah Okwengu and Kihara Kariuki have reason to smile after the board gave them a clean bill of health to continue serving.
Supreme Court judge Jackton Boma Ojwang passed the test and was cleared by the board and described as dedicated to his job after clearing 145 cases expeditiously.
Decisions on Appellate judges Kalpana Rawal, Martha Koome, and David Maraga were put on hold. The three are hearing the crucial elections date case which will finally determine when Kenya holds the next general election.
