According to the prosecution team, the suspect defiled a one-year-old baby and a 16-year-old girl taking care of her.
Kemboi, who is attached to the Nyatike DC’s office, is also facing another charge of raping the 16-year-old-girl at the same premises on July 1 and 4.
During the mentioning of the case, the court was told that the teenager was taking care of the minor when the suspect sent her to go and get him some mangoes.
When she returned, she found the suspect had defiled the minor. According to the statement given by the caretaker, she reported the matter to their guardian, who reported it to the District Children’s Officer who came with detectives to arrest the suspect.
Kemboi, however, denied the charges and was released on a Sh100,000 bond pending mention of the case on July 24. Hearing is scheduled for July 30.
