He dropped a shot on the first hole, a par four, but recovered with level on par four second hole before sinking a birdie on the par five third hole.
He dropped a shot on the par three fourth hole, had back-to-back pars on the par five fifth and par four sixth holes.
Double bogey
Rajput tumbled on the par four seventh hole with a double bogey, before leveling the eighth and ninth for a first nine score of 22.
In the second nine he started poorly with a double bogey on the par four 10th hole.
However, he leveled pars on the 11th, 12th and 13th, before dropping shots on the 14th and 15th then leveled the remaining three holes for a score of 24.
The second team was made up of Rajput (46), handicap 13 Nashir Abdullah (40pts), handicap 19 Ali Merali (36pts) and handicap 18 N Kassam who contributed 31 points.
The top two teams booked a ticket to the Gala’s grand finale that will be staged at Karen in September.
The reserve team was made up of Jawad Jaffer (38 points), L Khan (38 points), H Khan (36 points) and S Walji (27 points), who amassed a total of 112 points.
