Police examining sodomy allegations

A 50-year-old man at Kongowea in Mombasa County is alleged to have sodomized his five- year- old son a few days after they got separated with his wife

According wife who reported the incident to police, her husband defiled their son after she left the house following some misunderstandings.

“I had a small misunderstanding with my husband and left the house leaving my son there but on returning home after a few days. I found out that my son had been defiled and suspected that it was the father whom I had left him with,” she alleged.

She reported the matter to Kisauni police station after confirming from a medical report that her son had been sodomized.

And although police got the report, they have not arrested the father suspected to have done the heinous act on his son claiming that they were still conducting investigations.

According to Kisauni OCPD Mr Julius Wanjohi, the medical report was questionable and it was why they had to conduct more investigations before making any move of apprehending the suspect.

“The mother made a report alleging that her husband has defiled their five years old son, but when we looked at the medical report, we found some gaps that’s why we are still conducting investigations and once done, we will come up with a conclusive report as to whether the father was the one who defiled the boy or not,” stated Wanjohi.

Wanjohi added that they have recorded statements of both the parents and were still scrutinizing them before making any move.
