The Mount Kenya forest fire that has been on for the last ten days is yet to be fully put out by the Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Forest Service, the Kenya Army and volunteers who at the moment are at the Chogoria part of the forest where the fire is intense.
However according to the officials, they have managed to put out the fire in most parts of the mount Kenya forest. The Aberdare forest has also been on fire for the last six days and fire fighters and forestry officials have not been able to access the forest. KTN's Carol Nderi filed this story.
